Yesterday’s Wired Magazine article - entitled Researcher’s Video Shows Secret Software on Millions of Phones Logging Everything - states, “The Android developer who raised the ire of a mobile-phone monitoring company last week is on the attack again, producing a video of how the Carrier IQ software installed on millions of mobile phones reports most everything a user does on a phone.”
While disconcerting, this isn’t uncommon. Electronic conveniences significantly affect privacy. In a August Panel at the Master’s Series for Legal Professionals, Founder of Digital Reef and a panel of experts discussed issues arising when discoverable data is stored in the cloud, mobile apps, mobile phones, iPads, GPS tracking devices and more.
