Early Case Assessment: Is It Working?

Saving time and money, all while improving litigation outcomes are benefits from utilizing an effective Early Case Assessment (ECA) tool. Digital Reef recently had a discussion with the Director of Hildebrandt Baker Robbins, David Whitehead, who emphasized on the value of Early Case Assessment.

Why is an effective ECA tool so important? The ad hoc ECA approach was to utilize simple searches. This process could be extremely tiresome and didn’t present capabilities specific to determining relevant or non relevant data. New products today have purposing to do ECA. These products allow general counsel and litigation support staff to utilize tools specifically built to sort out and produce relevant data sets. The ability to gather, pare down, and review electronically stored information gives legal professionals the ability to make better informed decisions concerning litigation risk. It also presents an opportunity to control outsourced processing expenses, reduce review fees and improve litigation outcomes.

Below is a video of the Director of Hildebrandt Baker Robbins, David Whitehead, discussing ECA in today’s market.
