The terms "cloud" and "SaaS" generate both hype and confusion. The cloud offers potential cost savings and the promise of infinite scalability, while SaaS is an exciting new software delivery model that takes the maintenance and upgrade burdens off of customers. For eDiscovery both the cloud and SaaS have been heavily utilized, but present new and interesting questions around security and chain of custody. There is a new breed of providers offering various forms of cloud computing and delivery models like SaaS.
Digital Reef will host a webinar on Thursday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. In the webinar Barry Murphy, Co-founder of eDiscovery Journal, will explore the types of SaaS providers and the considerations those providers must weigh in terms of business model, staffing and infrastructure.
The webinar will also offer insight from the results of a recent study done by eDiscovery Journal on the adoption, use and results of SaaS based eDiscovery.
Barry will be joined by the Director of Project Management at Digital Reef, Colby Dyess. Together they will examine the changing business models of law firms, EDD service providers and software vendors and the role they all play in providing cloud and SaaS solutions.
